Whirlpool wash plate

Model- WTW5000DW0
Problem - washplate vibrates up and down rapidly during agitation sometimes
Never noticed one doing this. Normal?
I have been told splutch. I don’t really see that.
I did change the hub, but not with a new one.
Comments?

Hi Rick,

I saw nothing in the use and care manual about the wash plate moving up and down....just back and forth.
I would say either the wash plate is loose on the shaft and moving or the gearbox shaft is moving up and down.
I would not think splutch but more a bad tranny/gearbox
